Welcome to Literacy House Tutoring! Literacy House was born from my desire to have all children recognize their potential and achieve success beyond their wildest dreams through literacy. As a classroom teacher for 16 years, I have seen the struggles that students face from a lack of reading fluency that leads to minimal understanding.
My belief is, that success begins with a strong foundation in reading and comprehension. The confidence and independence that comes with knowing you have the ability to read with understanding is a game changer for students. Not only will their reading skills improve but their writing skills will increase as well.
Literacy is a lifelong skill that allows you to dream big. Literacy House is the place to help your child achieve literacy for life!

Hi! As the founder of Literacy House Tutoring LLC, I am invested in creating a program that allows students to achieve reading fluency and comprehension skills that will allow them to be critical thinkers and lifelong readers. I am a certified teacher/tutor with 16 years of experience in the public and private sectors. I earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi and a master's degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. I also have experience working with students in Kindergarten through 8th grades. I help my students gain confidence, set realistic goals, and develop actionable plans to achieve success.
